Things I've talked about that I have started (or finished):
- Got engaged!
- A podcast of me DJing. Hope to keep it updated weekly.
- Gotten another monthly DJ night.
- Started watching The Sopranos from the very beginning (after not watching it at all when it was on television).
- Reading more. (Starting with a biography of Benjamin Franklin).
Things I've talked about that I haven't yet started:
Things I'm going to start talking about soon, in the hopes of one day accomplishing them:
- Redesigning this site.
- Finishing reading and put into practice DOM Scripting.
Things I never wanted to do, but found myself doing anyway:
- Joined facebook.
- Spent lots of money repairing my car.

I'm in Boston at An Event Apart, and so far (just getting started on the second day) it's been pretty great.
I'd recommend anyone who designs/builds/writes for/runs web sites check it out when it's nearby. More comments on this later.

Work has been going well, though it's hard to adjust from the over-stressful agency world to the chilled world
of "consultancy." That isn't to say we're not doing anything, but the work-overtime-every-night attitude is basically
gone. It's wonderful.
At first I was a little nervous about starting to work as a "product designer" but I quickly realized that it
is something I'm very interested in and would like to become good at.
The personal work front is slow going. I (along with some friends) have developed a few schemes for new "businesses"
and are attempting to get at least one of them off the ground. I started working with a developer and a salesperson on
Modern Industry a design/development business that we've yet to put into action. I'm
working on a music blog called
Steez where I will discuss my various record
purchases and collections, and I've even more recently begun talking to some friends about starting a hand-made
clothing/accessories company. We'll see how some of those turn out.
I'm also looking for some freelance
design work. Freelance production/development is starting to wear on me
a little bit, and I'd like to put into action my design bones a little bit. That made no sense.

General News - I've recently accepted a job offer from Transmogrify, a web applications developer in West Conshohocken.
My official title with the company is "Product Designer" and and I will be given the opportunity to "design and build awesome products."
I'll be focusing on UI and visual design, as well as branding for new products. Should be great.
New stuff - I posted a shot of a site I designed for Windsor High School in California. I currently do not have a working
version of the site, as this iteration was not the one purchased. I do have more screen shots though, and I will consider posting them
in the near future. Possibly with lightbox.
In other news, I've recently been "asked" by my former employer to remove a significant portion of my portfolio from my site, which represents all of my newest work.
This has rendered my ability to sell myself as a designer who creates and builds valid standards compliant sites null. So I ask that if you would like to
see some of my newest work, please
e-mail me and I will discuss the matter with you further.

It's been a long time, but I've finally gotten a portfolio up again.
Right now it's close to 100 degrees in May and I have some kind of sinus
infection. Awesome. I hope to use this blog to post things
I've been finding
that I think are entertaining, posting stupid work I do that shouldn't be part
of my official portfolio, and whatever else i feel like. If you'd like, you can
contact me.
Until I get this thing up and running, officially, you can use
my delicious to keep yourself entertained.
